Esteemed Diaspora Armenians,

Dear friends,

On behalf of the United Nations - Armenia I am delighted to present the UN “Global Armenia” initiative, aiming at fostering partnership with the Armenian Diaspora.

The United Nations family of organizations in Armenia is dedicated to address the country’s varied challenges. Our principles are bestowed for the development of the country through the advancement of Armenia’s biggest asset – its people.

As a global network pursuing the goal of connecting Armenia to knowledge, experience and resources, we also aim at facilitating an appropriate engagement in this process of the worldwide Armenian Diaspora – one of the country’s considerable advantages. With the United Nations’ institutional capacities, mechanisms, methodology and status we propose a partnership to the Armenian Diaspora individuals and organizations to support people who are building a better life in Armenia.

I believe that partnering with the Armenian Diaspora in the design and  implementation of projects aimed at sustainable development in Armenia, and based on national priorities serves to the noble goal of multiplying the efforts in addressing the needs of people in Armenia and in this way reinforcing the final development impact.

The skills, knowledge and expertise of the wide-reaching Armenian Diaspora community members can constitute an essential value-added factor in increasing the efficiency of all the projects.

Partnering, combining efforts, applying universally proven best UN practices and standards, plus the Armenian Diaspora’s precious knowledge and expertise are the keys to make great change together with you in Armenia.
